Site Audit Issues Report

The Site Audit Issues report provides a list of the issues discovered during the website audit, along with an explanation of each issue and information regarding how to resolve the issues to improve SEO and search user interaction. There are three categories of messages in this report and they are listed in order of importance:

Errors
Warnings
Notices

The issues displayed in this document represent a sampling of the potential issues that may be found in the results of a site audit.

The Page Audit Checklist can be used to mark an issue as having been resolved, doing so also updates this Issues report with a color change in the bar representing the number of issues.

Site Audit Issues

Errors

Errors are serious issues that can negatively affect SEO or user interaction with the site. Click the "About and how to fix" link for an explanation of what the error message means, and a recommendation for how to fix it.

Warnings

Issued listed in the Warnings section has the potential to damage search engine ranking, as well as reduce the possibility of a searcher clicking through to the site. In the example below, there are 167 pages that are missing the meta description that usually displays below the page title in search engine results.
